At one point, I had felt romantic tendencies toward Auriel. Her very presence allowed my spirit to soar, and reach heights unknown by me. Her skills in battle were near unmatched. The feelings were reciprocated, but our love was forbidden by Imperius. He believed our togetherness would only bring destruction, so our feelings fell into hibernation. Some would believe that I harbor feelings for the Nephalem, but I only consider her a friend. A good friend, at that.

musicthe0ry sent: Tyrael is no longer the Archangel of Justice. He now stands as the Archangel of Wisdom.

((I’m very aware, but being the Archangel of Justice for two and a half games holds a little more weight in my mind.))

The angels of the High Heaven can be as quarrelsome as mortals, my friend. My attitude toward many a thing has been shaped, and bent into its current state. I was not always as I seem to be. Head strong, and foolhardy. At one time, I resembled Imperius much more than who I am today. Once given the choice on saving humanity was thrust at my feet, I wagered so much on something that could ultimately be our down fall.

You’ve yet to let me down.

I’m not sure what you mean, Mortal. Our goals are not set to be enjoyed, but rather seen through.

Imperius is head strong, but he is still my brother. I’ve fought side by side with him for centuries, and will still continue to see him as an ally, and friend. The Nephalem’s intervention in Diablo’s assault on the High Heavens has shown Imperius his wrong doings, even if it nearly cost him his life.

The capabilities that lay at the feet of humanity are so very numerous, child. What will happen, and what can happen, are vast, and unlimited. The faith I hold for you, and your kind, is ultimately all that I may offer. Just know that the future is uncertain, but the dawn is never further than a day away. Whatever troubles may press themselves against you, will ultimately be outnumbered by the strength and will, of those willing to stand for what is right.
